Maxaim DI leaving capture mode

Having a problem with maxaim di.
While playing it will kick out of capture mode.(acting like I hit ctrl and escape which I didn't).
It could happen every few minutes or not for hours.
The mouse starts moving around my pc screen and I have to hit start capture again. The odd time the start capture has stayed greyed out. But that's rare.

Titan one plugged direct in the back of Xbox one. USB cable direct into back of pc. No hubs or extensions.
I have bought and tried other cables. I have tried the stand alone max aim.
Anyone else seen this? Ideas on what to try?

The MaxAim DI, when in capture mode, makes use of the keyboard and mouse in exclusive mode, which means no other application receives events from theses input devices. But, if the MaxAim DI window loses focus (not the active window), the OS automatically gets back the control of the keyboard ans mouse, forcing MaxAim to exit from Capture mode. Please check if is not that what is happening.

Are you using the plugin or standalone version of MaxAim DI?

I have used both plugin and stand alone version, it seems the stand alone does it less, at least I think it does.
I am not sure how to tell if something else is taking control. I generally run maxaim on a second screen, maybe that is part of the issue? I can disable all other monitors and try that.
