Classic Controller Pro Button Layout HELP

Postby animator776 » Sat Jan 24, 2015 12:26 am

I loved playing Blops 1 on Wii using the Classic Controller Pro!
But I'm trying to figure out how I can map the PS4 controls for Advanced Warfare to the Classic Controller Pro.
The hardest part is trying to figure out R3 and L3.
Does anyone have a button layout I could use?
Thanks!

The classic controller pro does not have the stick buttons (R3/L3). AW makes heavy use of L3 (exo moves), so the easy sprint MOD will not me enough as a workaround. R3 is melee, also very required.

You can try make a script to activate R3/L3 with a button combination, like R1+R2 = R3; but I'm not sure... if you really like the classic controller you should consider get a Wii U pro controller.

I actually have a Wii U Pro Controller and I've used it many times, but for some reason the Classic Controller Pro keeps bringing me back.
If I remember correctly, some of the buttons on Blops for Wii were mapped to the D-Pad, which allowed R3 and L3 to be used with the buttons the D-Pad were filling in for. I tried MaxRemapper and I can't figure out what buttons to switch around.
If you look at the MW3 wii manual at the Wii Classic Controller Pro controls: http://support.activision.com/servlet/s ... 004c7gBMAQ

Then you'll notice that Run and Jump are both mapped to "b". I think this is where I'm running into problems.

Ok, I finally found out a control scheme! But I believe I have found a bug.
For some odd reason, I cannot map Sprint (L3) to "y".
I tried a bunch of different options, but it just won't work. Everything else works, and I made sure my "y" button wasn't broken.
Anyone know what's wrong? Or is this actually a bug?

I'm assuming you are using a GPC script to do the remaps. Can you please post it here? So we can check. Thanks

I'm using MaxRemapper, is there a way to convert the control profile to a script?

yes, on MaxRemapper there is a button called "Generate GPC Script" for this purpose.

Thanks! :)

Your remappings seem to be correctly. I didn't test playing the game, though. But using the Gtuner's Device Monitor, the Wiimote Y is being mapped to L3 correctly. I'm not sure why its not working in the game.

You can also check the remappings using the Device Monitor: http://www.consoletuner.com/kbase/device_monitor.htm

Is there a special way to report a bug? Or do I just contact support?
