tested it out and it works! it just asks me to reconnect the controller, when i do, i click the sync button the wiimote and viola! thanks guys again!

Without restarting the ps3/4 console I used to unplug and insert the t1 3 times in order to get it to player 1 again. But if you hold down the home/ps key you can change the controller setting to player 1.

Also note with the cod script that led3 indicates a low battery value.
