[SOLVED] CV not working now on Xbox 1440p@120hz

Postby NendoDC » Mon Mar 07, 2022 4:41 am

I use AverMedia Live Gamer ULTRA (GC553) for Xbox Series X 1440p@120hz.
CV was working fine until yesterday with the following settings under Advanced Configurations.
CAP_PROP_FPS=60
CAP_PROP_FRAME_WIDTH=2560
CAP_PROP_FRAME_HEIGHT=1440

Strangely, when I tried to start today, I got "Resolution Not Supported for Resizing" on CV screen.

CV works fine when I put my Xbox to 1440p@60hz so I don't think it's a resolution issue.
OBS and RECentral will show game screen on 1440p@120hz, only CV doesn't work.
Tried re-downloading GTuner IV, reinstalling Python, reconnecting capture card, rebooting PC and Xbox.
Trying to troubleshoot, but I cannot figure it out.

They were working fine for months until yesterday, so I don't understand what is wrong.
Please help, thanks.

No I haven't.
I also tried older firmware for AverMedia Live Gamer ULTRA (GC553), but that did not solve the issue.
Don't think that this is the issue, but I'm just hoping that it's not some xbox update that caused the change.
May be I need somebody who has a working environment with AverMedia Live Gamer ULTRA (GC553) and Xbox Series X 1440p@120hz, and tell me their firmware version, settings, etc.

OK, I found the solution.
If you followed "Gtuner IV Computer Vision Setup and Info" to setup CV, the installed opencv version is 4.2.0.34.
If you update opencv to a higher version, CV works on 1440p@120hz.
The latest opencv as of now is 4.5.5.64, but this dropped my fps on Gtuner, so I use 4.3.0.36 for now.

Just type the following on cmd to update opencv (or to any other version you wish)
pip install opencv-python==4.3.0.36

CV works but the scripts do not.

Example

Apex Anti Recoil will load and the CV displays the image but its not actually doing anything. CV is detecting everything as it should but the actual anti recoil is doing nothing.

But do your CV scripts work?

The script I use is "Modified version v1.18, by Michael. (based on v1.49 - Sep 8, 2021)".
Scripts are working fine for me.
