When capturing my screen my monitor is black

The problem is not the fact that CV doesn't work, it is the fact that I have to turn my monitor off for the screen to be captured on my PC screen but I don't want it on my PC screen I want to play through my monitor. When I turn on my monitor on, the CV doesn't even capture my xbox screen it is just black on the PC screen which renders the CV useless. Could anyone help? Thank you in advance.

I found the problem, it was the HDCP for my console turns out you need to turn on energy saving for it to capture your device.(XBOX Series X)
