Help needed setting up Logitech G27 wheel on Xbox One

Postby WookieGroomer » Sat Sep 06, 2014 1:18 am

Hello,

I researched ways to get racing wheel support on the Xbox One for Forza and found people raving about the Titan One. Unfortunately, I bought it and all I get a flashing "E" when I plug in my wheel. I tested the 360 controller on the Xbox One so I know it all works. I forced the input to X360 in the device menu after default didn't work and I still gt a flashing "E".

Please don't tell me I bought the Titan One for nothing.

Can someone tell me what I am missing? I even installed the MaxAIM plugin but that didn't do anything to get rid of the flashing "E".

Try doing a firmware recovery.

Not sure if you seen this thread already where someone ask how to set up the Logitech g27 it might help you get it to work.

Okay, Flashing 'E' means the connected device is not supported. The way Titan One supports Wheel controller is through the MaxAim DI plugin.

The connection schema is this:
1) Your wheel controller connected on PC
2) Titan One connected on console (OUTPUT port)
3) Titan One connected on PC (PCPROG port with mini-USB cable)
4) The Xbox One controller connected on Titan One (INPUT port)

Open Gtuner PRO and MaxAim DI, on MaxAim DI create a new layout and bind the DirectInput entries of your driving wheel on the controller buttons shown on the screen.

I'm attaching on this post a Layout I made for a logitec Driving force GT, you can use it as a base/example for your layout. To import it on MaxAim go to File -> Import Layout...

PS.: Don't forget to select your wheel controller on menu Direct Input -> DI Settings...

Excellent recommendation and thank you for the file. I'll give it a shot this evening and report back if I am successful. Trying to take advantage of the free Forza 5 weekend to ensure I can use the wheel with Forza Horizon 2.

How do you import the correct G27 settings? When I start a race the car revs it nuts off and the G27 controls dont work correctly. I have a Foza.glf file I import into Max Aim but that doesnt work, how do I activate it or something? Steering works and thats it basically.

To import the MaxAim Layout, first download the GLF file. the open Gtuner and the MaxAim DI. In the MaxAim DI menu, click on File -> Import Layout... select the GLF file and it should appear in the Layout dropbox.

Thanks

I will try this tomorrow but that is what I am doing Im sure. Once I have imported the glf do I have to click anything or just start the race? What Number should the Titan one have on the display?

When running a plugin (eg MaxAim DI) the device display shows 3 lines (the bottom, middle and top segments). The button layout, mapping and script are handled by the plugin, not by the Titan One.

In the MaxAim you just need select the button layout in the dropbox. You can check the inputs and outputs with the device monitor.
