How to get a PS4 controller working on Xbox

I need a new controller bad and I didn't was to buy a $60 one a again, but wanted a cool one. Scuf was out of Xbox1 controllers so I bought a PS4 vantage and a friend told me I could connect it to xbox with a adapter I just didn't know it would be this hard. I don't own a PS4 anymore does anyone know a way to connect a PS4 controller to xbox1 without it ever touching a PS4. Ive went through the authorization process on console but its not working like the controller doesn't know its supposed to come on or something. I found out it comes on perfectly fine when I turn on the Bluetooth not that it does any good because my gaming pc wont pick it up then. but even when its wired in my pc it picks it up it just does seem to want to turn on. PLEASE HELP? ive been dealing with this bs for hours
