Titan Two Led flashing 3 & 4 with red lights fault?

Postby ApexThor » Thu Oct 10, 2019 11:02 am

Hi there kind people, can anyone shed some light on my problem please.

Setup

Xbox one X > Titan Two > Xim 4

I've been using this setup for a while with no problems, however the USB cable that i connect the Titan Two to the xbox is a really cheap thing and is like 10 Inches long. I want it longer (about a meter) so i can rest the titan on my desk. I've tried about 5 different USB cables but every other cable gives me red flashing lights with the LED display flashing the number 3 and 4. Does anyone know what this is?
Throughout my set up none of my cables are over 1.5 meters.

Thanks in advance

Is it displaying E3/E4 or just 3/4 ?

Do you have a script loaded when this happens?

Are you sure it's not flashing AU?

If it's an error code it will be AU (controller not authenticating) or errors E1-4

Try without the xim and plug the controller directly into input A

E4 error means the RAM memory of the device is full, compromising regular operations such as USB communication. In this state the device must be reset, this can be done by power-off and then power-on, or by pressing both device's buttons.

This error can be caused by bad USB communication. Please try use a short cable to check if it solves the issue.

Hi thanks for the advice, sorry for the delay I've been away, I will double check the error code, it does work with a very short USB cable, but it won't work with anything else even USB cables that a 2 feet in length. I only have one script on the device, would this be linked to the RAM problem

regards

The USB cable must be able to transfer data, so not all cables will work.

It is possible it is the script, what one are you using? If open source post it here so we can take a look.

It seems the long cable you are using is causing poor connection, resulting on E4 error.

A high quality cable should fix this issue.

Thanks for all the help, the code definitely just flashes 3 and 4 with all other lights solid red.

I tried just a slightly longer cable about 1 foot, and swapped my xbox controller cable to one that is 6" and this also worked, it's all very strange.

It's like there is not enough power but i'm using the smallest of cable runs

Correct, long cables have higher voltage drop (especially if the power lines a not thicker), which can also be the cause for E4.
