How to use controller and mouse on xim4

I've seen this topic pop up in a few posts on the Xim community forum but it was never explained how they managed it.
I'm trying to work out how to use my authentication controller and a mouse rather then a keyboard or nav controller with my xim4.
I know it can be done, but how?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I would prefer to use the controller for my movement and such at least until I can get my hands on a nav controller, which has proved quite difficult.

I've been using controller and mouse for over 2 years now. Its quite easy and best thing. i use it on pc and console.

Ahhh...just pick up the controller connected to XIM and use it
