Enable speed up options lowers sensitivity

Postby BlessUp » Mon May 25, 2015 3:51 am

i noticed when enabling speed up settings like the 1ms that it lowers the mouse sensitivity when paired with the xim vs having all these boxes unchecked. What should these be set to when using with the xim4? I guess my concern is keeping everything synced with as minimal latency as possible.

You don't need to have the speed up settings activated unless you're running into any kind of problems. Have you tried running your xim without any of the options? There should be no measurable input lag even with all the options unchecked. If there is, you can start by adding the Inframe In setting, and if required the Inframe Out setting. That should be all you would ever need.

No noticeable sensitivity changes with them all unchecked. Even though having them checked felt as though sensitivity were decreased it felt very smooth and crisp so this is why I asked what are the optimal settings because if enabled is better I can always increase sensitivity on the xim to compensate for the slight slow down.

The speedup setting that could affect XIM is "InFrame In". You can keep "InFrame Out" and "1ms response" enabled, as these only affects the connection with the console, not with XIM.

Does enabling these increase or decrease latency?

inframe in or out causes the lower sensitivity, 1ms or all off feels same as xim connected directly.

By slower you mean lower sensitivity or laggy? Try enable just the "1ms response".
