The Division Script rev2

Postby Scachi » Mon Aug 06, 2018 5:10 pm

Update* Version 1.14:
+ Reload on Weapon change now trigger on a real double-tap of the reload button only. Each tap has to be shorter than 200ms and the pause between both has to be short too to get rid of false trigger of the weapon reload combo.

Hint: If you download a newer version of the same script and you drag it / install it on the same slot to replace the old one you can hold down the ctrl key to keep your current settings.

This is a complete rewrite of my The Division script.
I wanted to try a different approach for anti recoil and rapid fire in game configuration and get enough space to store the settings for up to 3 profiles/weapon loadouts per T2 slot.

Also a different method for weapon presets of anti recoil and rapid fire is used to be able to extend the presets to support all available weapons of The Division without hitting the size limit of the scripts.

Keep in mind that this one is pretty new and not everything will work flawless because of some bugs not found/known yet.

If you found some good rapid fire or anti recoil settings for a weapon please share them and I'll add them to the script.
In interactive Configuration you can use the "copy" button in the title of the Interactive Configuration window to get a long cryptic string copied to clipboard and paste it into your reply/post.
Please mention the weapon name used and the profile + weapon slot used for the weapon(s) when doing so.

Features:
  • 3 profiles, each one with anti recoil and rapid fire adjustment for primary/secondary/sidearm weapon
  • Full in game configuration for anti recoil and rapid fire
  • Weapon Presets via one button click in Interactive Configuration
  • Hair Trigger
  • Auto Climb
  • Auto mark targets
  • Extra Sensitivity setting
  • Reload on weapon change
  • OPTIONAL: Data Script for loading Weapon Presets in-game for the currently active profile.
The Data script can now can be installed to the sd-card to not use up an additional T2 slot:
Click Download on the Data script, then select in the Menu "File->Install To->Micro-SD Card" and name the file "td1data"
In the interactive Configuration of the main script choose "SD Card file: td1data.gbc" in the last section: "Weapon-Data T2 Slot"

Details:
  • Profiles
Switch profiles by holding down L3 > 1sec and tap :
Triangle (Profile #1, LED Green), Circle (Profile #2, Led Red), Cross (Profile #3, LED Purple)
The T2 LED will blink 4x fast in the selected profiles color.

  • Weapon Slots
This scripts tries to guess the weapon slot used (primary/secondary/sidearm) by monitoring the Triangle button.
The estimated weapon slot is shown via the T2 LED colors:
    Green=Primary, Red=Secondary, Purple=Sidearm
If the script gets out of sync and is displaying the wrong color for your active weapon slot you can fix it with touchpad fingertip-hold :
    upper-left-corner Green=Primary | upper-right corner Red=Secondary | upper-mid Purple=Sidearm

  • Anti Recoil
Toggle Anti Recoil usage on/off with L2+DPAD_down

  • Fire Modes
Toggle Fire Mode usage on/off with L2+DPAD_left
Select fire mode for the active weapon slot with touchpad hold: lower-left corner=normal | lower-right corner=rapid

  • Alternatives for weapon slot fix and fire mode selection
You can choose from other button combinations for that:
    R3 + L1 : Weapon Slot fix , R3 + R1 : Fire Mode selection
    L3 + L1 : Weapon Slot fix , L3 + R1 : Fire Mode selection
    R3 + Dpad-left : Weapon Slot fix , R3 + Dpad-right : Fire Mode selection

  • Auto climb
Hold Circle button down > 500ms will enter auto climb/jump mode.
Just walk against some obstacle and you will jump over it/climb onto it.
You leave this mode by pressing Circle again, aim, firing, taking cover .. almost every button.

  • Weapon Presets
The pre-settings for the weapons are adjusted to work well with my in-game settings:
    Aim Assist: Off
    Aim Sensitivity : 100
    ADS Aim Sensitivity : 100
    Deadzone : 0
If you are playing with different settings the Anti Recoil values may need some adjustments.
If you use stability mods or clips with a different rate of firing you may need to adjust them a bit too.

  • Reload on weapon change - Enable/disable in game with D-Pad UP + TRIANGLE
To prepare it for use it has to be enabled and be correctly timed.
To adjust the times in-game hold L2+L3 and press&hold the SQUARE button until the reload animation is completed then let go of SQUARE.
USAGE: To actually use it in game you have to double-tap the SQUARE button fast.
Reload on weapon change works by triggering the reload animation, waiting for half the time of the real reload animation and then switching to the secondary weapon, so it is a bit slower than a direct weapon change but the primary weapon is reloaded in something like a bit more of half its reload time.

  • Sensitivity (aiming) - Enable/disable/setup via interactive configuration
USAGE: When aiming (L2) hold L3 to adjust the aiming sensibility to the configured values.
Configure it for each weapon slot, to have no effect on a specific weapon slot set its value to 100.

  • Optional Data Script - Enable/disable/setup via interactive configuration
The weapon presets are configured to work with the in-game settings:
    Aim Assist : Off
    Aim Sensitivity : 100
    ADS Aim Sensitivity : 100
    Deadzone : 0

    INSTALL:
You need to download from the Online Resource
the main script: "The Division rev2"
and the data script: "The Division rev2 Data"
and put them on different slots on your T2.

Configure the main scripts option "[Weapon-Data T2 Slot]" (last one in Interactive Configuration) to point to the T2 Slot containing the "The Division rev2 Data" script.

USAGE: Run the main script as usual.
When aiming (L2) hold R3 >4 seconds to switch to the data script for the active profile.

Use DPAD-Up / Down to cycle through the presets, the name gets displayed via the segment display on the T2.
To write this preset to the active weaponslot hold Cross button > 500ms. The LED will blink for a short time to indicate writing.

To change the weapon use the Triangle button to be able to load a preset for a different weapon slot.
To return to the main slot hold Circle button -> 500ms.

You can use a single Data script slot with multiple Main scripts.
The data script knows the main slot it got started from, it writes the settings to the correct main slot.

In game adjustment

  • Anti Recoil
This scripts vertical anti recoil uses now fixed timers and multiple adjustable recoil values to compensate for the changes in the recoil behavior over time of the weapons. Anti Recoil can be fully adjusted in-game.
Adjustments can be altered only when you are in adjustment mode and press L2+R2 (aim&fire).

To enter adjustment mode for the active weapon slot hold L2 + tap Option.
The LED will blink slowly in the color of the weapon slot and shows "0." for a short time.
The recoil adjustment has 8 settings (LED displays: "0.", "1.", "2." .. "8.") the LED will blink faster with each setting selected.
Tap the Options button (without holding L2) will let you switch through the settings.
When you are in this adjustment mode and you fire your weapon with aim+fire you will notice the T2 led to show: 1, 2..8, one after the other, each one for a short time. This is to inform you when the different anti recoil timings are reached and used to get an idea which value /timer is off and should be adjusted.

New easy and "Quick Anti Recoil adjustment":
    1. As before you have to be in adjustment mode
    2. New step: Hold L2 (aim) and hold L3 (left stick click) down all the time until you completed the step 3
    3. Now start firing (R2) and try to do your best to compensate the recoil by moving your right stick as you do normally and keep firing until the clip is empty.
    4. Then let go of all buttons and you are done.
    5. You can test it now by just hold L2 and press and hold R2 (aim & fire as normal).
If you are satisfied leave the Adjustment Mode with hold L2 + tap Options
Or repeat the recording steps 2,3,4 again.
You can still use the more complex method to fine tune your recorded values.

You can adjust the recorded values by tuning them for each step as before or using the Interactive Configuration.

LED "0." : You are in horizontal adjustment mode. this mode is active until you press Option button to cycle to the next setting or hold L2 + tap Option again to leave the adjustment mode.
Aim & Fire +tap DPAD_left or DPAD_right to adjust the horizontal recoil.

Press Option button to get to the next setting:
LED "1." : Your are in the first vertical timing/recoil setting
Aim & Fire + tap DPAD_left or DPAD_right to choose a different timing of 7 availble ones, when vertical recoil values should begin to work.
Aim & Fire + tap DPAD_up (lowers value) or DPAD_down (increases value) to adjust the recoil value for this timer.

Press Option button to get to the next setting - LED "2.", LED "3." ... LED "8."
The settings "2." up to "8." are working exactly the same as "1.".
Aim & Fire + tap DPAD_left or DPAD_right to select a different timing (applies to all values), when each vertical recoil value should begin to work.
Aim & Fire + tap DPAD_up (lowers value) or DPAD_down (increases value) to adjust the recoil value for this timer.
You can copy the vertical anti recoil value from the previous timing to the actual one by holding down L3 > 500ms, the LED will blink twice.

Firing the gun with ADS+Fire in adjustment mode will show the currently used anti recoil timing number via the T2 segment display. So if you keep firing you will see it show "1.", after a bit "2.", up to "8.". Each number will be shown when its timing has reached and its value gets applied.

It sound complicated but works pretty well.
Remember you can toggle through the settings with Option button.
You enter/leave the adjustment mode with L2+Option.
You can use the Interactive Configuration to make those adjustments, too.

  • Rapid Fire
Adjusting rapid fire is only possible when the weapon slot is set to use rapid fire.
If it isn't already use Touchpad Hold lower right corner to activate Rapid Fire.

To enter adjustment mode Hold L2+ tap Share.
The LED will blink slowly in the color of the weapon slot and shows "0." for a short time.
The rapid fire in game adjustment has 2 settings. Tap the Share button to get to the next setting.

LED "0." : adjust the time the fire button is held down with
Aim & Fire + tap DPAD_left (lower value) or DPAD_right (higher value)

Tap Share to get to the next setting
Led "1.": adjust the wait time (before the fire button will be pressed again) with
Aim & Fire + tap DPAD_left (lower value) or DPAD_right (higher value)

Remember you can toggle through the settings with Share button.
You enter/leave the adjustment mode with L2+Share.
You can use the Interactive Configuration to make those adjustments, too.

There is a bug in GTuner IV at the moment that makes the handling a bit complicated:

Open the Interactive Configuration
Under <<<<<<<<<<<< Profile #1 - Loadout >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Unfold "#1 Primary Weapon : Presets
Click on the weapon you want to use, Click the OK button AND CLOSE the IC Window ( you have to close it because of the bug in Gtuner IV)

Now reopen the Interactive Configuration
Under <<<<<<<<<<<< Profile #1 - Loadout >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Unfold "#1 Secondary Weapon : Presets
Click on the weapon you want to use, Click the OK button AND CLOSE the IC Window

Now reopen the Interactive Configuration
Under <<<<<<<<<<<< Profile #1 - Loadout >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Unfold "#1 Sidearm Weapon : Presets
Click on the weapon you want to use, Click the OK button AND CLOSE the IC Window

You are done for Profile #1 - Loadout and ready to start gaming.

After dragging / installing the script into a slot on the T2 there is a small icon in this slot, looks like a gearwheel or something like that. Click on it and the IC opens.

The one with "lvoa-c striker" in the name is the one I use with my striker gearset without any extra stability mods.
Firing at a wall looks like it is off, aiming a pve target works just fine as I have aim assist enabled in the settings of The Division itself, aim assist messes a lot with the recoil.

I don't play pvp so I can't say if this works there too.
You can adjust the settings of each weapon slot in "Anti Recoil" of the profile/weaponslot and adjust it to your needs.

If you disable aim assist in the game settings of The Division the weapons recoil in combat works the same as when shooting at a wall.
