Does GtunerIV Accept any Command Line Args?

Postby PoshLemur » Mon Jan 28, 2019 5:41 am

I haven't seen anything like this mentioned but I figured I'd ask before creating a request on GitHub.

Specifically I'd like to have basic command line support added to be able to setup shortcuts
that Start-Open-AND-Run scripts in one go.

Auto run a GPC script:
"C:\Program Files\ConsoleTuner\GTuner\Gtuner.exe" --run "C:\MyScripts\script.gpc"

Auto run a GPC script and open the KMG Capture window, activating/enabling it at immediately.
"C:\Program Files\ConsoleTuner\GTuner\Gtuner.exe" --kmg 1 --run "C:\MyScripts\script.gpc"

(Obviously the user would be expected to know that they need to have their T2 connected for the above to work.)

With this I could create a Desktop Shortcut that automatically launches some of my favorite scripts.
I personally don't put much onto my T2 as I'm constantly making micro adjustments to my scripts and this would really be nice for us keyboard warriors out there.

You can click test and debug which straight goes to running regular scripts without interactive configurations in setup! Also if you do have interactive configurations setup and have things on default or already setup and ran then if you want to skip around slots you do slot change on controller or just click number on the slot and it auto runs!

Yes I'm aware, but I'm looking for a little more automation on the software end of things. Automation is the reason I bought the T2 after all. ;)

I know I can
1. Start Gtuner
2. Open the script
3. Click Run
4. Press F4 to open KMG Capture window

But I'd really just like to
1. Start Gtuner, Open script, Run script, and start KMG Capture (all in one)

here is something I didn't know either: https://www.consoletuner.com/wiki/index ... _shortcuts

I'm sure usually J2Kbr caters to the users if he can do this with program which he can only answer!

Thanks :) it also shows the shortcuts on the menu items from the application.
I could use AutoHotkey to do most of this for me, but it'd be cumbersome, slower, and more prone failure.

I almost exclusively use the T2 for keyboard/mouse support (I prefer it over XIM for it's advanced and scriptable capabilities)
So for me as a mouse/keyboard exclusive user I'm constantly running scripts without ever assigning them to memory slots.

Currently you can provide an extra parameter when executing Gtuner IV to force load a specific GL lib. The options are:

Gtuner.exe -gl-desktop
Gtuner.exe -gl-angle
Gtuner.exe -gl-software

desktop: opengl library provided by your graphics card driver (best option)
angle: utilizes DirectX 11 to render the GUI (good if your graphics card does not provide OpenGL 2.1 or higher)
software: software based OpenGL (slow, but should work in most systems)

Other command line parameters are not available.

I see you have GitHub account, please add you request below. Thank you.

Thanks for the info! Additionally, I've opened an issue/request on GitHub.
