Questions About Gtuner Filetypes

Postby PoshLemur » Thu Apr 04, 2019 3:39 am

This is mostly directed at J2Kbr but if anyone else knows let me know!

Just an Idle curiosity. How many different file types does GTUNER support? Also what is the P for in GPC?
Game Program Code, Game Project Code, Game Protocol Code?

As for the file types, I am aware of
  • GBC
  • GIT
  • GMK
  • GPC
  • GPH
  • GPJ
  • GPS
Am I missing any?

.gpc originally started out as Gamepad Proxy C iirc.
I don't know If this is still the case for gpc2.

I would assume the G is now referenced as "Gtuner", or simply "Game". I may be wrong though. It could very well still be referenced as Gamepad.

As for the others (You may already know).

GIT = Input Translator file.
GBC = Bytecode File.
GMK = Macro File.
GPC = Source Code following the GPC2 language.
GPH = Header File. Source code same as GPC.
GPJ = Project File.
GPS = Source File written in assembly.

Also there is.
GPK = Game Pack File. Not sure what actually makes it different from an ordinary .GBC file.
GPM = Persistent Memory File.
GCD = Interactive Configuration Descriptor File.

The GtunerIV IDE editor can open .gpc, .gph and .gps files only. Side note .gps files are read only.
