Xbox series X and Elite 2 controller not connecting

I am having issues connecting up to my Xbox series X using my Elite 2 controller... I have updated and rolled back and up dated again and just cant seem to figure out what I am doing wrong... I have tried using it wired and wireless and still no luck... Although I have had my Titan since its first release I am still pretty green with it, but if anyone is able to help me I would very much appreciate it... Thanks!!!
