Xim4 purple lights?

Hello!

When combining the Xim4 with the T2 the Xim4 quickly flashes purple lights and I'm wondering if this is a known issue or an indication of me doing something wrong?

It appears to happen when I move my mouse attached to the Xim4, as soon as I stop moving it the purple lights also stop.

This is happen on Xbox One only, with PS4 the purple lights does not happens. Experienced users confirmed the purple light in this case does no affect the gameplay. Soon I will be contacting OBSIV on this matter, to check what can be done to prevent XIM4 show purple light when using with Titan Two on XB1.

okay, what is the controller you have connected on XIM4? a PS4 controller?

If you have a PS3 controller please try this:

1) PS3 controller on XIM4, XIM4 on INPUT-A of Titan Two;
2) PS4 controller on Titan Two INPUT-B,
3) Titan Two to PS4 via output port.

The only controller I am using is the one that comes with the PS4 PRO.

My setup:

KB+Mouse to Xim4
PS4 controller to Xim4 (default PS4 PRO controller)
Xim4 output to T2 Input-B
T2 output to PS4 PRO

Side note:

Aside from the purple lights it seems to work but the mouse is slightly faster when using this setup than when using Xim4 by itself. I have my mouse tuned so that a full swipe of my pad is about 80% of a full 360 but when I add T2 to the setup I get about 110% of a 360. Weird huh?

do you have any script running on Titan Two? it may be the case where the script is making changes on the aiming values, which would explain the extra sensitivity. To test that use the Titan Two with no scripts running, showing 0 on the display.

I thought of that so I checked and there was no script running. The T2 showed a 0 which I think it means no slot is loaded or no code from the GTuner tool is running.

After some searching around it seems the purple lights have to do with "timing issues" (pretty vague but there is no other information) - the side-effects I noticed (outside the purple lights) are:

1. A bit faster mouse
2. Purple lights only show when I move the mouse

So it seems mouse related, could the timing issue be causing the faster mouse I noticed? I'm not sure how input from one device is coordinated with the output of the other but if it has to do with timing maybe that is what is going on?

This is easy to miss because the mouse is only slightly faster, I only noticed because i was tuning my sensitivity and was very aware of turning rate, etc.

Your message just made me realize something. Perhaps XIM4 is expecting an very exactly polling rate, on PS4 it is 4ms. The Titan Two may possible be polling XIM4 faster, causing the purple lights and the increase on the mouse speed. This would also explain the purple light on XB1. I will be performing some test to confirm this.

I believe the current limit of mouse polling is set at 125Hz and possibly 8ms. I do not know this for a fact but that is what I gather from reading about the SandhawC project and the latest XIM and SandhawC updates.
