What sort of power supply do you have connected to the apex hub?

I have had the exact same experience, but as soon as I plugged in a Power supply into the Apex Hub, the output stopped flashing, orange, and went green.

The power supply I am using is from a different powered usb hub, It outputs at 2.5a 5v.

That power supply is not strong enough, it can only do 5 volts at 300 Milli-Amps.
The recommended output is 5 volts at 3 Amps.
You will need a different power supply.

5 Volts at 2 Amps, Should be plenty for the Apex hub though.

So either try and find a power supply that can output 5v at 2 amps, or 5v at 3 amps, and this issue will be fixed.

Actually, instead of buying a Power supply alone, just pick up a regular USB 2.0 Powered USB Hub. As they are much easier to find, and they are compatible with the Apex. You don't have to stick with the Apex Hub that was included.
