Troubler connecting Titan Two to New PS4

Postby NDRugby » Mon Dec 02, 2019 4:31 pm

I've tried connecting my Titan Two to a new PS4 and can't get it to work. I'm trying a bluetooth connection same as the old PS4. I currently can connect my DS4 controller to the T2, but the output light on the Titan Two is red. It also no longer works on my old PS4. Here is what I have done:

1. Made sure there are no bluetooth controllers on the PS4
2. Put in a new Micro SD card, formatted it and configured it.
3. Set the Titan Two to Bluetooth Playstation 4
4. Plugged the Titan Two via a micro usb cable from the output port to the PS4 while having the Bluetooth Devices screen open on the PS4.
5. A Dualshock 4 controller was added to the devices but no connected.
6. Unplugged the T2 from the console and then plugged it into a power source
7. Paired Dualshock 4 controller to the T2.

Now I can hit the PS button on the DS4 and it connects to the T2, which I have verified with the GTuner app. However, the output goes to red and stays that way. I do have a blinking dash on the display of the T2, but I believe that is just a low battery warning for the controller.

I tried the steps above with multiple controllers, multiple cables, multiple SD cards, and 2 PS4s. It does look like the T2 works in wired mode.

Thanks for any help.

Have you pressed the PS button again ?
The first PS button press will connect the controller to the T2. When controller and T2 are connected (green) then press the PS button again. The second time pressing the PS button should connect the T2 to the PS4 then.

Each time you want to connect a different console via bluetooth to the T2 you have to connect the output port once with the console via USB again. The T2 only remembers the last bluetooth device used via output.

Please check the following:

On PS4, be sure to have the communication method set to USB, as the following:

Settings → Devices → Controllers → Communication Method: Use USB Cable

On the Titan Two, set the output protocol to "USB automatic" or "USB PlayStation 4".

Connect the Titan Two to the console without any controller plugged into it. The output LED should turn Green. If you are still getting Red, please try another micro USB cable to test.

Ye the output turns green in that scenario.

Ok, this is good. :smile0517: Thank you for checking.

Lets now check the connection with the controller wired.

Please connect the PS4 controller to Input-A or Input-B and check if you can operate the console normally.

Yes. The controller works wired to the T2 with the T2 wired to the console.

For the next step, first disconnect all controllers from the PlayStation 4: Settings → Devices → Bluetooth Devices → Forget Device.

Now set the Titan Two output protocol to "Bluetooth PlayStation 4".
Connect the output port to the PS4 USB (to pair the Titan Two with the console).
Connect any controller to the Titan Two and press the PS/Xbox/Guide button to start the Bluetooth connection between the Titan Two and the PS4. The output LED should turn green after couple seconds.

Followed those steps. Changed to Bluetooth Playstation 4 on the T2. Made sure all controllers were deleted from the PS4. Connected the T2 to the PS4. Then connected the DS4 via usb to the Input-A and clicked PS. The output went from off to Red. The Input-A LED turned green.

Thank you for all your help.

Thank you. I assume the output status LED remained for several seconds and then turned off. I will be rechecking the Bluetooth connection with PS4 to be sure it is working here as expected.
