Nintendo Switch analog triggers support?

Postby guily6669 » Thu Dec 06, 2018 6:18 am

Hi there,

Using Titan Two device, can Switch support analog triggers (with like a Xone\DS4 controller)?

On games like Spin tires, Gear Club and others, can you control the accelerator or no matter what Nintendo Switch games are always a crap ON\OFF trigger for acceleration (digital triggers)?

If the game can be configured to accelerate and brake using the analog stick forward/backward, then yes: you can easily make a script to convert the PS4 controller triggers to the analog stick forward and backward to use on Switch.

That I know, but I want to know is really if the whole switch has really no support on any game for its trigger as a axis from 0-100 or if the games actually support different values on the triggers and Switch simply doesnt have any analog trigger controller to use them...

On Switch, the trigger buttons are digital (0 or 100), so using this inputs no game will support ranged values.

Thanks, that's what I wanted to know. It sucks so bad, racing games are unplayable 4 me on digital, it even makes it feel more arcade than playstation 1, because at least GT 2 and some other racing games let us use the joystick as accelerator if I even remember well...
