BT Adapter with XBox One controller

Just upgraded to the Titan Two device from the Titan One due to the partial crossover for PS4. For the Titan One setup I used a BT 4.0 adapter with the XBox controller and it worked fine. I can not get the BT adapter to work with the Titan Two, shows red light. Is it not possible to use a standard BT 4.0 adapter?

The sell one specifically made for the titan two, rather than a USB dongle.
