Using headset with PS4 controller through XB1S

So, I am using a dual shock PS4 controller with an XB1S. When I plug the headset into my PS4 controller, I hear nothing. If I plug it into my XB1 controller, it works. The headset works fine through my PS4.

So, not a big deal. I just plug the headset into the XB1 controller and play with the PS4 controller.

Is there a way to get sound when plugged into the PS4 controller using the XB1?

As far as I know there is no "crossover headset" support.
I think you have to stick to using ds4 for gaming and xb for chat in your case.

Take a look at this post, maybe it is an issue with the plug not working for ps4 because of different wiring:
