Script skipping on T2

Postby Dead_Tuna » Mon Jan 20, 2020 6:59 pm

Hello,
So I'm having issues with rapid-fire skipping in the script and its affecting my game where the fire rate slows down. This happens not all the time but at least 5 times in one match. I have pulled up Gtuner and watch it and can see it slow down then pick up " Like skipping " I have also changed my fire rate setting from 1000 to 800 or even 650 and it still skips.

This script i have used for months and never had this problem. I have gone back to see what i have changed but haven't changed anything. I have update T2 software and firmware. I have cleared slot 1 and 2 with difference scrips just to make sure that i cleared the old one and reloaded my destiny scrip but still same problem. I don't use slots 4,5, 6 because of the sd card crashes T2 and its annoying to reset it.

The script in from the download Gtuner modpack DESTINY 2 MODzPACK. This has worked and i have made no changes but added my preferred settings, even my setting are original.

The only thing that I have notice that has changed and I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the script is that if i keep Rapid-Fire held down for at least 5 seconds while still firing in game and not reloading , I hear a loud static sound in my head phones until I release fire button and reload in game. I haven't heard this when i bought the t2 so maybe it getting old? Im not sure.

Just wondering if anyone has gone through this or has heard of similar problem please link me to it.

Thank You.

To help me try reproduce what you are describing, please let me know what is the polling rate configured in your device: "Protocol's default"? 1000Hz? other? thanks.

Thanks, I will be checking during the weekend.

In the meantime, if you have chance, please try using "Protocol's Default" for output polling rate to check if any difference can be noticed.

Thank you for checking on it and I changed to Default. Just a heads up, I have used 1000Hz for 3 years +/- and never had a problem.

Well, it's still skipping after making the changes. I can see it in Device manager that its rapid then slows down then picks back up.

Should look into purchasing another T2?

This seems to caused by the script. There is a while loop in the code (in function RUN) that will take longer to complete with the time the button_5 is held down. That function "RUN" seems to be used no matter if the rapid fire is activated or not.
Use the GTuner IV device monitor and drag the CPU load button to the channels area, then click the "RUN" button, start the script and hold down your fire button. You will see how the cpu load will increase over time, reaching 100%+ after some time, causing the issues you are describing.

This script seems to be last updated August 2018...
I think the best chance is to ask bonefisher to take a look at it.
