Azeron Keypad + Mouse + T2 + PS4 Setup

Postby jelly44 » Mon Sep 14, 2020 2:24 pm

Folks,

A little over a year ago you helped me with my m&kb setup, and I have had nothing but great times with it! :joia:

Today, I've ordered an Azeron Gaming Keypad, which I plan to use instead of a regular keyboard.

I've done a quick research here and I could only find around 4-5 distinct threads with Azeron references. Having said that, I just would like to gather as much info as possible on what I will need to do / change so that I can hit the ground running when the keypad arrives.

I currently have this setup:

mouse to T2 via Input-A
DS4 Controller to T2 via bluetooth
T2 to pc via PROG
T2 to PS4 via OUTPUT port
keyboard to PC and play via KMG capture

I play mainly with bonefishers' script for BFV, Scachi's script for the division 2 and J2KBR COD gamepack, all with their respective input translators.

Apart from binding the keys in the keypad to my liking using its software, does anyone have any more insights / experience with this piece of hardware?

For instance, the keypad has an analog thumb stick which I understand can be used as WASD, in which case I will plug the keypad into my pc or as an actual stick (the latter apparently by emulating an XBox controller), and plug it in the INPUT-B. I'm not sure how to handle this with gtuner, my current scrips / input translators and so on.

Anyways, these are the questions I have now, but I am sure more will come.

I know everyone is busy, so no rush ;)

Thank you guys!

As you are using KMG Capture (assume you will still with Azeron Gaming Keypad), you should be able to use the keys inputs as well as the analog thumb stick. The keys will be via keyboard input, and the thumb stick via Gamepad/Joystick.

hey J2Kbr - thank you for the reply. I've actually opted to plug the Azeron Gaming Keypad in the T2 Input-B port so that my keyboard is always free to type and I don't have to remember to turn the KMG capture on/off. It just makes things simpler.

I have noticed a few things while having the keypad connected to the T2 Input-B:

a) Always when I turn the T2 ON while the keypad is connected to the T2, the Input-B light turns RED, so I have to unplug and plug the keypad from/to the INPUT-B.
b) Sometimes after unplugging and plugging the keypad, the keypad seems to turn itself off but the light in the INPUT-B still remains on, but the keypad is non-responsive. No Input/output appears in the Device Monitor
c) Sometimes during games the keypad turns itself off, too.

Sometimes I have to unplug and plug the device many times just so things get stable. I've reduced the brightness of one light in the keypad to try reducing the energy consumption. Not sure that helps :D

Please, let me know if you'd like me to fetch the descriptors and send it to you.

Current Set-Up:

Mounse > INPUT-A
Azeron Keypad > INPUT-B
DS4 Controller Authentication > Bluetooth to T2
PS4 > Output Port
PC > PROG Port
External Power Supply > T2

Please capture and post here the USB descriptors of the Azeron Keypad, so I can check the compatibility with the Titan Two.

On Gtuner IV, with the Titan Two connected to computer, go to top menu Tools -> "Fetch Descriptors ...". Now plug the a Azeron Keypad to any port on the Titan Two. The descriptors will show in the window, click on the button "Copy Descriptors" and post here.

PS.: Before proceed with the above, please wait for the 1.08 update to be released (by today/tomorrow) to check if the issue persists after updating your Titan Two.

Thank you.

Thank you for capture the descriptors. All seems to be good and supported by the Titan Two.

I am starting to consider, based on what you described, the issue is related with communication. Possible something at electrical level (bad connection or interference). Is the cable from this Keypad too long? the cable can be replaced?

The cable is very long in fact, J2Kbr. I believed it can be replaced, but that requires some manual work (opening the keypad and such).

I'll look into it.

Thanks for all the help! :D
