ps2 Katana controller question

Hello I am planning on getting a Titan Two once it's available again for purchase and I wanted to use it to soft mod my ps2 katana controller to work on pc and maybe even ps4 like this guy did: https://youtu.be/wD5h3mZ_sn8

My question is how did he do it and how can I do it? I want to know before buying this to know what I'm getting myself into. I know he soft modded his controller to work on ps4 using the Titan Two for a fact. But can you just do it with the Titan Two despite the device using an Infrared receiver or do I need to use something else alongside it?
