Xbox Series controller not turning on with Titan Two

Postby Corbis » Thu Dec 23, 2021 4:57 pm

Have an issue where my Xbox Series controller doesn't turn on when connected to Input-B.
There's no USB Port Status LED for Input-B so I can't use it for the authentication feature. I know the controller works when connected directly thru usb to my XSX console.

I know my Titan Two works as I have no issue using my 3rd party Xbox controller on Input-A.

Anyone else having this issue?

Make sure the output protocol is set correctly in device configuration.

Hard reset the console by holding down the power button for 10~ seconds.

If you still have issues try a different USB cable.

I tried both Xbox Series and Xbox One as the output protocol and that didn't work.

Hard reset the console by holding down the power button for 10~ seconds.
I'll try this out.

If you still have issues try a different USB cable.
The same usb cable works when I connect the controller with it directly to the console. Are you saying the Titan Two itself may have an issue with the same cable??
edit: Just tried this and it didn't work with two other usb cables.

Finally was able to try a hard reset. The Xbox Series controller first vibrates when the the console turns on and now the home button lights up on the controller. Unfortunately the T2 still doesn't authenticate it on Input-B.

Strangely enough I connected a 3rd party Xbox controller to Input-B and that one lights up that port and actually authenticates! I'm able to use a PS3 fight stick on Input-A when the 3rd party controller is on Input-B.

So the official Xbox Series controller just doesn't work with the T2. Is it possible that Microsoft has updated the firmware so that it won't work with devices like the T2?
