Problems re-connecting controller after a disconnect

So for the longest time I have been using a USB cable from titan2 to my controller, but my cord is getting old so I decided to get the wireless adapter..... but I've been having another issue for a very long time now.

If the controller disconnects by unplugging it, it's very difficult to get it to sync again.
I've tried every combination of plugging/unplugging controller/titan/cord in every sequence possible. I've never figured out what works, if anything even does, but I do know I can get it to reconnect after enough attempts(like 8-10) min.

If I cannot get it to reconnect, or don't want to deal with the annoyance of attempting to reconnect, my usual solution is to restart xbox or remote into my xbox from my tablet.
