Micro SD Cards?

Postby Ruthless4645 » Sat Jan 13, 2018 12:09 pm

Ok so I'm new to this stuff and just received my Titan Two. What would be the best micro SD card to use in this thing without going overboard?, No use in buying a 64gig if you'll most likely never use more than 4gig realistically. I noticed that Console-Tuners expansion kit only ships with a 512MB card.

2gb, 4gb, 8gb, 16gb.....Etc....Or maybe much less.

Also is there a recommend read speed, 40mb/s, 50mb/s 80mb/s.

What about the class?....Class 4, Class 10..Any help?

Thanks

I just went to Walmart and grabbed the cheapest one they had, maybe I got lucky, who knows... anyway, it worked great, probably much more than I will ever need, but I wanted to put my scripts on, and it was cheap, so. If you’re not in a hurry, I’m sure you could find something cheaper at amazon or something, but if you just want to get something quick, and are ok with spending ten bucks, then here ya go

Did you have to format it?, or was it just "drop in" and go...

The size is not a factor of choice. The files are in the order of kilobytes maximum. The only scenario files car by in the order of megabytes or more are very long binary macro files. this is the reason the Expansion Kit have a 512Mb SD-Card.

The speed/class requirements are low.

My suggestion is, if you plan use only with the Titan Two, get the cheaper you can find. Or, if you plan also use for some other application, get the one more suitable for that application.

PS.: Normally the cards don't need to be formatted first.

I didn’t format it, I just put it in and then followed the online manual for the titan two on how to make it work for Gtuner because it doesn’t work until you do this...

I grabbed that same SD card and just plugged it in, used GTunerIV to set it up and had NO problems that I can see so far. Titan Two sees it, and the 6 memory extra slots... Thank you everyone for their help!.

Great friendly forum.
