Same error I'm afraid. Reformatted sd card and copied files over. Identical error :(

I don't think I am doing anything wrong: plug into prog, update firmware, insert SD card, format, configure card, plug Xbox adapter into port a (and b). No steps missing right?

Thank you for confirming. In this case it seems your problem is being caused by something different from what was addressed with the firmware update.

First let me explain how the support for the Xbox Wireless Adapter on the Titan Two is implemented. At the moment the Titan Two replicates 1:1 the adapter initialization captured on my Win10 computer. Once this step is done and the top-most layer (related with controller input/output) is running, the protocol is fully understood. However, the base layers (related with the initialization and Wifi Direct) are non-documented and completely understood. For this reason the support for both Xbox Wireless Adapters (the big and the small models) are currently classified as experimental.

Back to the error you reported (Initialization error 1 [nav 0, type 3, size 0, pos 106]).

Error 1 occurs during the initialization step and means the Titan Two sent a data packet to the Wireless adapter and the received response is different from what was expected. For example, was send to the adapter [01 02 03 04 05], and the expected response is [04 08]. However, the adapter replied [05 09]. In this case the initialization process is aborted and error 1 is reported.

Have you tried use the Adapter on a regular Win10 machine? If not please try (including sync a controller and testing if works). Perhaps Windows 10 do some configuration on the Adapter, which could help with the error 1 you are receiving with the Titan Two.

I just tried. Re synced the adapter to my controller using the same usb port. Then plugged titan two into the same port. Same error. When plugging the Xbox adapter in it is almost instant that the adapter fails to initialize. I wondered if there was a firmware update for the adapter but it seems to be part of windows. I am lot the only one with this error so it is not a hardware problem I don't think.

So it's a problem with the authentication signal from the adapter to the titan? Weird. Is there a legacy firmware to try to see if it works?

I will try plug my both adapters on Windows 10 again to check if any update is performed.

Also, lets check if your Adapter model is same as mine:

Big: Model 1713 (located on the side)
Small: Model 1790 (located at the back)

In a future firmware update we can try program the Titan Two to ignore the unexpected response and proceed with the initialization.

The adapter us the big one but has no model number or serial. Have just inspected it more closely. It has no Xbox symbol. Ohhh I think it's an unofficial one! Just checked my eBay it's "Xbox one compatible". Could this be it? I think it's a chinese knock off.

Checked the hardware ID in device manager. It is the same as the official one but I wonder if this is the cause?

However the guy on the other thread has the same error code with 2 different Xbox adapters. A firmware fix that allows it to initialize would be very good! Thanks.

Makes total sense and explains why you are getting error 1.

My big adapter is Microsoft branded and has the Xbox logo on the front. The initialization file for the big and small adapters are different, one does not work on the other. Mostly like this is also true for your third-party adapter, which possible requires its own initialization procedure.

In any case, we can try something: go to the installation folder of Gtuner IV and open the sub-folder labeled "consigsd". Here will will find several files, we are interested on these two:

- xboxacc.fw (for the big adapter)
- xboxacd.fw (for the small adapter)

Rename:
xboxacc.fw to xboxacd.fw
and
xboxacd.fw to xboxacc.fw.

With the device connected to your computer, open Gtuner IV and click on the button Configure. The files will be copied to the sd-card.

Now plug your adapter to check if the fw file for the official small adapter is capable to initiate your third-party adapter.

Hi. thanks but this didn't work.

The pos error has changed from 106 to 132 however.

It does recognise it as an Xbox adapter still but not initializing. Can you tell it to accept the adapter anyway? Why does it need to authenticated? It obviously works on my pc and on an Xbox one, so why not titan two? Thanks.

We can try program the Titan Two to ignore the error and proceed with the initialization. However, the chances of this to work are minimal as the adapter will be initialized with a data set from other adapter and possible some other error code will occur.

Let me research if there is a way for your to capture the USB data exchanged between the adapter and your computer, so I could use it to create an initialization file specifically for this third-part adapter.
