Layman's guide on how to build Interactive Config UI's
Re: Layman's guide on how to build Interactive Config UI's
Thanks J2K, that might answer the question from my last email
I'm really close to pulling data from the array through the LoadAntiRecoil function, but the * has been tripping me up as I didn't know what it meant (I assumed it was a wildcard of sorts), nor how to work with it. I could bypass the function and pull data straight from the array into main, but that defeats its purpose.

The pointer / index usage looks fine, but also a bit chaotic in regards off how easy it is to add a new weapon/preset to it.
Would be nice if we could use c like structures, so we could have all the definition of one weapon in one section instead having sections for each datatype used by the preset.

Yes, structs would be the best for this. I have plans to add structs to the compiler.

Correct. They work the same as the game packs.
Take a look through the GPC library and search "Scachi" he has made many scripts with an interactive config included.
JK2br has also published an example/tutorial script on how to to make them as well. So if you're interested in makeing your very own interactive configuration then I do strongly suggest downloading his example script..

It's a revolutionary product as far as console modding goes. You won't be disappointed.
