PS4 DS4 Titan One Bluetooth connection drops out
I have the BT adapter that is recommended and it connects and works ok for a few minutes and then either drops completely or sticks in one motion...
I have the device settings as recommended I believe but what do I need to double check??
Thanks!

With the Titan One plugged into the computer via the cable, go to Gtuner - Tools - Options - Device tab. Make sure the OUTPUT Protocol is set to AUTOMATIC or PS4. Set the speedup settings as the following:

You mentioned you have the recommended BT dongle, please provide more details about it. Is it a BT 4.0 model?

yes, with the current version of Gtuner you can do that using Virtual Machines. The next major version of Gtuner will run natively on OSX, Linux and, of course, Windows.
I have a Mac book and I'm using VirtualBox (it is free) with WinXP as guest OS. So, I can run Gtuner and do all tasks without problems. The first step is download and install the VirtualBox for MAC, here the link:
https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
Look for the "VirtualBox for OS X hosts". Second step is create a virtual machine and install windows on it, the link below is a very good tutorial for that:

Some time ago you could download a evaluation copy of windows for free, in this link:

Not sure if it still available, perhaps for Windows 10.

Re: PS4 DS4 Titan One Bluetooth connection drops out
thanks for the info.
While ago there was another topic discussing issues with the Bluetooth connection, similar with what you described. In an quick looking for it, I didn't find. Anyway, it was noticed that if you maintain the controller close to the Titan One/Bluetooth dongle it worked as expected, without any drop in the connection. I wonder if you could do this test as well.
That was a very interesting topic in this matter, I'll try find it and link here.

I found that if i keep the bluetooth close (within a foot) the connection was solid. I will test more at distances and report more.

@J2Kbr - Is the topic below, the one that you are remembering? There are been a few of us with similar issues.

As a personal note, I also tried various (4.0) bluetooth dongles (qty 4) all exhibited the same issue. I recently got a 2.1 bluetooth dongle that I have not checked yet.

UK_Wildcats_Fans wrote:I have the same results as perfecthuntr but with COD AW. I think part of the problem may be interference. My controller and BT adapter are approximately 7 feet away from each other in direct line of sight (no glass or other objects). I do have a wireless USB headset (Turtle Beach 500P) and have a wireless router and Verizon network extender fairly close the PS4. I bought a 3 foot USB extension cable (max length available at the store) that I put between the T1 and BT adapter. It definitely reduced the effects, but it did not eliminate it. I just received by 10 ft USB extension cable and I am now going to try it out so that the BT adapter and controller and about a foot apart.
UK_Wildcats_Fans wrote:I used the 10 foot USB 3.0 extension cable between the T1 and BT adapter last night for about 3 hours. The BT adapter was about 6 inches from my controller. I would not play this way, but I wanted to ensure that I had the best setup for testing purposes. After 3 hours of playing COD Advanced Warfare multi-player, only had about 2-3 moments were there was a very slight pause, which could very well have been lag in the game too. It worked great. Let me recap my results: 7 foot - problems, 4 foot - less problems than 7 foot but not playable and 1 foot - no problems.
I keep wondering how the power, frequency hoping, class, etc. on the BT adapter is different that PS4 since I don't have the issues with PS4 to DS4 wireless. For some reason the interference with the BT adapter is an issue.
Interesting article with links to the PS4 actual chip and a tear down video. May sure that you check out all the links.

I am using the SMK-LINK VP6495 bluetooth adapter.
