Xbone controller cord issue

I'm having issues with using a usb extention cord with my controller, my regular plug/play charge cord works just fine but it's to short for any practicality. So my question is, is there a specific type of usb cord that I need to use In order for the Xbone to still recognize the Titan one and/or for the controller to work. As the one i have attempted to use the Titan one will not do anything if plugged directly into the cord and if I plug the Titan one into the Xbone and the usb cord into the Titan one the controller is not recognized by the Xbone

USB extension cables are, generally, unstable (from my own experience).

You could, always, extend your cable by cutting open multiple cables and connecting the wires together.
