Help me, I just plugged it in not working

help just received this, plugged in said error writing code while updating firmware and it had to reboot. then it just shut off and wont turn back on. I finally got it to turn on again by holding the rest button, but everytime I try to update the firmware it says it updated in recovery mode and needs to be flashed again. when I do this it begins to update then says error.

I moved it to a usb 3.0 port and it seemed to finally update
