PS4 10 Minute Authentication Button & BT Donglefor PS4?

Postby RemixedCereal » Tue Apr 12, 2016 9:21 pm

Hello my wonderful friends at consoletuner! Today I come to you guys with a bunch of questions and concerns regarding the Titan One and its compatibility with the PS4. I know that when you're using foreign controllers on the PS4 (ie a 360/Xb1 controller) The device needs to re authenticate the connection, but; I am going to a Tekken tournament next month, and I need to either be able to re authenticate at will using a combination of buttons; other than unplugging the device. My next question is, will the device need to re authenticate if I were to use a PS4 via bluetooth with the Titan one? I'm willing to switch to my DS4 controller and use my button binds through there as long as my controller doesn't disconnect on me mid fight.. Also, regarding the Bluetooth feature, which bluetooth dongle would be best suited for my PS4 controller if I were to take that route? The links to the dongles will be underneath this text.. Thanks again you guys! I hope to hear from you soon!

If you use DS4 on PS4 you won't have problems using a bluetooth dongle.

I wouldn't recommend any of those two, better take a bluetooth 4.0 dongle. When it comes to dongles and stuff, i rely on brands as those no-name cheap stuff often is pretty shitty. With cheap dongles you may suffer from huge lags.

The PS4 controller protocol is bluetooth 2.1 EDR. The 4.0 bluetooth dongles have a power saving mode so the range is not as good as the 2.1 EDR. If you can find it, a 2.1 EDR is recommended. There are lots of discussions on the forum for bluetooth dongles with forum members using a variety of them.
