Titan One Protective Shell!

Postby NitemareMarauder » Tue Feb 27, 2018 11:02 pm

Wasnt sure where to post this but i made a "otterbox like case" for the titan one.

One flaw i have encountered with the titan one is that when plugged into the console it sticks out very far, i am not a fan of a $60 Usb device that could be snapped off or horribly bent by a cord being yanked or a foot accidentally kicking it. i have been the victim of this very situation TWICE (Thats $120 gone :icon_frown: .) and for fear of it happening again i have designed a protective shell for it! :joia:

it takes a Female USB A to Female Micro-USB adapter and a Right angle Male Mini-B to Female Micro-USB adapter and provides a outer shell to protect all the potentially dangerous areas..

it uses these specific parts-

it allows the titan one to be whatever distance you want away from the console or just out of the way of traffic so your precious investment doesnt get broken off or stepped on, all you need is two regular micro usb cables that your smartphone probably uses and your all set.
there is some bowing in the pictures because i got a few dimensions too tight, but i am tweaking my design until it is perfect. i wanted to make a post in case anyone else had ideas on improvements. When i am 100% sure it is perfect i will most likely upload the design to shapeways or another cheaper alternative in case anyone else wants protection.

Yes very nice protective shell. I also use a right angle for the PC PROG port to be less troublesome and an USB extension between the console and the Titan One, very effective not to damage the device.
