New XIM4 Firmware

Postby stnspwn » Sun Feb 22, 2015 9:17 am

There's been an overhaul of the manager and firmware for the Xim. Code is now more efficient, and is in the beta testing stages. I updated the firmware on my XIM4, but now the Titan One will not authenticate. Followed the steps listed in this thread: http://www.consoletuner.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=233, but none have worked.

The XIM4 shuts off if it fails to establish a connection to the console. If it's hooked up directly to the console, all works well. If you connect the XIM4 to the Titan One then console, the XIM4 shuts off.

If you hook up a controller to the Titan One and Authenticate it, then try to connect the XIM4, the xim shuts off.

That's wierd mine works fine. Try changing your USB extension cord usually is the culprit.

Check xim forums, there are several discussions regarding xim4 shutting down cause by bad/low quality usb cable. I'm 100% sure it's your usb cable. :innocent_smile_1:

What you describe is something else altogether. The XIM4 fails to authenticate in the beginning, so it shuts itself off. I tried 5 different cables (of different lengths), in various configurations. Issue occurs regardless of cable.

Reverted XIM4 back to the previous firmware (20141114), issue is gone. Firmware 20150212 appears to be the culprit. If you managed to successfully get it working on 20150212, please tell me the steps you took to get it to work.

I never had a problem both old and latest firmware. Here the steps: pardon my grammar English my second language :icon_frown:

1) Turn on ps4
2) Plug T1 in your console using usb 2.0A extention.
3) Wait for A/U flashing in your T1
4) Plug Xim4 into T1 ( make sure all Xim4 peripheral are connected) it should authenticate.

Or the lazy way :innocent_smile_1:

1) Connect Xim4 into T1( make sure all Xim4 peripheral are connected)
2) Connect T1 in your console
3) turn on your console wait for 10seconds and your good to go.

I forgot to mention it happen too me T1 won't authenticate. Here the steps I took
Connect T1 into my pc and delete all my save files bcz I have too many crazy setting and code :thumbsdownsmileyanim: That did the trick :joia:

Just wondering are you using third party controllers?

The steps listed are some of the steps I performed. I don't use a third party controller, only stock official ones.

I'm on the xbox one by the way. I will test it on the PS4.

I just got my T1 yesterday and tried all day to use the MaxAim and MaxAim DI plugins. I could never get anything close the XIM movement. If anyone has mouse settings for XB1 and COD:AW, I'd love to see it.

On to the OP's post.. So I hooked the XIM4 back up and wanted to test out autofire using the XIM+T1. I too was having a bitch of time getting it to authenticate using the 20150525 firmware. I finally got an authentication sequence that works 100% of the time:

1. Plug XIM4 into T1
2. Plug T1 in to PC and wait until T1 displays "0"
3. IMMEDIATELY plug T1+XIM4 into Xb1

Now I'm going to work on a toggle script for toggling auto-fire.
