Man I've been smashing my head against the wall trying to install the .APK for gtuner. I've given chrome permission to install untrusted apps, but it just won't open the APK. If I try to open direct from the download it just fails, then when I try to run the apk from the file browser it just opens a folder...

I really have no idea how to get it installed, I've downloaded apps before off the web and had no issues. Hoping this is the correct place to post.

Try giving your file explorer permissions before opening the apk.

Hey mate. I haven't, the only apps relevant it even gives me the option to set permissions for.unlnowm apps is chrome, Google drive.

Edit: When I look up the downloaded apk in my file browser, it's a folder that I can open.

Try installing an alternative file browser from the play store such as root explorer and install from there.
