So I burned my T2: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=12097#p84029
And I realised just how awesome the T2 is on PC: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=12646
I ended up buying a new T2. The old one works fine, only the case is busted and I can no longer use it with my complex setup as I need AC power, but PC is totally fine as I'm not really pushing it too hard from a power consumption perspective...so what to do with it?...
The brightness of the lights detracts from the picture. It looks really brilliant in person. I mounted it behind one of the cable holes on the side of my case. The side of my case is transparent so I can see the little LED screen when I need to. If you want to do the same, this is how:
1) Take the case off your T2. You don't need to do this but it makes the presentation a little cleaner.
2) Get an internal USB hub which is designed to plug directly into your motherboard, like this: https://www.mwave.com.au/product/therma ... ub-ac24760
3) Get a USB port slot plate adapter, like this: https://www.mwave.com.au/product/starte ... er-ab64816
4) Get some extension / converter cables to connect #3 to your T2's A and B ports, it'll cost you a couple of bucks off eBay.
And you're done!
Now this bad boy is fully integrated and the USB ports are nicely mounted to the back of my case, it feels like a really neat little package. I'm really happy with this:)
All I need now is a "Titan Two Inside" sticker (like the Intel Inside one)!
UPDATE:
And here's what it looks like from behind:
